HOUSTON, TX – A chaotic scene unfolded on Houston’s south side late last night when a pool party erupted into violence. Shots were fired, sending guests fleeing for safety.
The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. on MLK Boulevard near Arvilla Lane. According to Houston Police Department detectives, a large gathering was disrupted when gunfire broke out, prompting a swift response from law enforcement.
One man in his mid-30s was shot in the knee and is expected to recover. However, another victim, a man in his mid-20s, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and remains in critical condition at a local hospital.
Upon arrival, officers encountered a frantic scene with partygoers scrambling to escape. Multiple shell casings were discovered, indicating the severity of the event.
Authorities had to deploy a significant number of officers to manage the situation and restore order. Several individuals were detained for questioning, and at least one firearm was recovered from those present.
