Two men shot while walking out of Hollywood restaurant

HOLLYWOOD, CA – Two men were shot and wounded while exiting a popular restaurant near Hollywood’s Walk of Fame in the early hours of the morning. The incident occurred just shy of midnight outside the Status Hollywood restaurant and lounge on Cahuenga Boulevard’s 1600 block.

Upon leaving the lounge after dinner, the individuals were attacked by a single gunman stationed across the street next to a car. The sound of gunshots incited panic among the bystanders, leading to a rushed evacuation.

Both victims were quickly transported to a local hospital, one of them having been hit in the chest. Eyewitness accounts include that of a security guard who rushed to the aid of one victim, applying pressure on the wound to prevent further blood loss.

Authorities state both victims, aged in their 20s, were first considered stable upon hospital arrival. However, their health status has since become uncertain. It remains unclear whether the victims were leaving together or purely coincidentally exited at the same time.

The suspect reportedly followed a northward route on Cahuenga Boulevard, fleeing the scene immediately post-shooting. He is described as a male wearing a black hoodie or long-sleeved shirt and possibly yellow pants. No details regarding a possible motive behind the shooting have been shared.
