Violent bar fight kills security guard

TAMPA, FL – An altercation at Tally Ho Lounge and Grille in Tampa earlier this July turned fatal when a security guard lost his life attempting to intervene. A local man has since been taken into custody in connection to the death of the security guard who passed away from the incident.

Tyrone Wells, a close friend of the deceased, expressed sadness over the loss, calling the circumstances surrounding his friend’s death “foolishness.”

The victim of the crime has been identified as 50-year-old Kenneth Washington, also known as “Kenny.” He died on the job as a bar bouncer during the fight that took place on July 2.

According to Wells, Washington was struck by what seemed to be a sucker punch, as a result of which he fell. Washington then suffered a seizure after his devastating fall, and he died right in the parking lot of the club. Washington was known as a hardworking man who was always ready with a smile.

Joshua Valdibieso, 26, has been arrested and charged with manslaughter in conjunction to Washington’s death.

Washington, a father of three children, was remembered by his friends and family at a packed service held at Grace Mary Baptist Church.
