Wanted shooter found dead near police station

A violent episode unfolded in Barnesville, Georgia, on Tuesday evening, leaving one individual dead and two others injured from gunshot wounds. The incident, alarmingly close to the local police station, has stirred a wave of concern in the community.

The local authorities received an urgent call to action around 6 p.m., when gunshots echoed through Mill Street. According to Barnesville Police Chief Belinda Penamon, officers hurried to the nearby location, a stone’s throw away from their station, where they discovered three individuals in a car, each with gunshot wounds.

The initial investigation indicates the horrifying event as a drive-by shooting. The victims – two females and a male – fell prey to the sudden, unwarranted attack. Tragically, one of the women, identified as 33-year-old Yasmine Wright, succumbed to her injuries. The survivors, whose medical conditions remain unspecified, are presently undergoing treatment in a local hospital.

Further complicating the case, the suspect, identified as 33-year-old Eric Spradley, was found lifeless in Atlanta, apparently from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

In response to the grave incident, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation has been called in to lend their expertise to the case.
