Wife stabs husband before trying to drown their three kids

CARROLLTON, TX – Carrollton authorities are investigating a domestic violence occurrence that took place on Friday morning, ending in a shocking accident involving three children. A man called police from Tall Knight Lane just before 8:00 a.m., alleging that his wife had stabbed him. The husband was then taken to the hospital for treatment. According to reports, he is expected to survive the injuries he sustained.

Shortly after the stabbing call, the Lewisville police were called to Hebron Parkway, where a vehicle was driven into a retention pond. The driver was the wife of the wounded man, accompanied inside the vehicle by their three children ages 8, 9, and 12.

Upon arrival, Lewisville police and firefighters were able to pull the woman and two of the children from the drowning vehicle, the third child was able to escape without aid. The prompt and sternest efforts to revive the children yielded success as one child was resuscitated at the scene while the paramedics were able to revive another en route to the hospital.

As of the most recent reports, one child remains critically sick, and the other two are reported to be in a stable health condition. The incident has saddened the community, with consolatory voices exclaiming thankfulness for the survival of the children.

The incident culminated in the arrest of Wei Fen Ong, identified as the suspect by Carrollton police. She is charged with one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon that resulted in serious bodily injury. She has also been charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. After a stint at the Carrollton Police Department, Fen Ong will be transferred to Denton County Detention.
