Woman arrested for killing spouse with samurai sword

SAN DIMAS, CA – A disheartening altercation rocked a quiet neighborhood in San Dimas, California, when a 44-year-old woman named Weichien Huang attacked her wife with a sword, leading to her death. The incident occurred in their residence on the 300 block of South Huntington Avenue.

As per the information from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Huang and her wife, Chen Chen Fei, had an argument at their home. The disagreement spiraled out of control when Huang attacked Fei with a sword, leading to Fei’s death.

Eyewitness News obtained cell phone footage of a woman, presumably Huang, wielding what appears to be a Samurai sword prior to deputies apprehending her in the street. In additional footage, the woman approaches a home nearby with blood visible on one arm, while she held a sword in the other.

The assault escalated further when Fei’s mother was also attacked and sustained injuries. Stable now, she managed to extricate the sword from Huang and seek help.

Authorities have since apprehended Huang on suspicion of murder. Police urge anyone who has additional information to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Homicide Bureau or the local Crime Stoppers.
