Woman charged in robbery of armored car facility

MILWAUKEE, WI – Authorities have issued an arrest warrant for Latoya Watkins, accused of a daring theft at the Loomis facility in August 2023. According to court documents, Watkins allegedly disguised herself with a wig and red polo shirt to infiltrate the premises.

Using the code word “beach ball,” Watkins reportedly gained access through the initial set of doors. Struggling with the security PIN in the vestibule, Watkins claimed it was her first day, convincing an employee to let her inside.

Once in the cash room, Watkins allegedly absconded with $118,000, stashed in a plastic bag. Investigators believe her partner at the time, Dodge Jackson, who worked at Loomis, may have been complicit. Jackson’s search history revealed inquiries like, “What happens if I’m caught stealing money at work?”

Attempts to contact Watkins and Jackson have been unsuccessful. Both face theft charges, though it took two years to compile the necessary evidence, including 100 videos, to move forward with the case.

The district attorney’s office confirmed the recent receipt of critical evidence, leading to this week’s charges. Watkins remains at large, while Jackson has been summoned to court later this month.

As the investigation continues, law enforcement is focusing its efforts on locating Watkins, who is the primary target in this case.
