Woman gets stuck in Chuck E. Cheese arcade game

BURBANK, CA – Imagine your most embarrassing moment caught on camera and quickly spreading online. That’s exactly what happened to a woman at a Chuck E. Cheese in Burbank, when her unexpected predicament became an internet sensation.

Around 3 p.m. on Thursday, a video surfaced on the Citizen app showing a woman trapped inside the Snow Day arcade game, her right hand firmly lodged in a hole. Burbank firefighters arrived on the scene and took 22 minutes to free her. The incident drew a crowd, with onlookers capturing the moment on their phones.

It’s unclear how the woman ended up in this situation. The Snow Day game involves players entering a chamber where small, colored balls rain down. The objective is to collect as many balls as possible within a set time. Whether she dropped something or was simply reaching for a ball remains unknown.

Mario Nevarez, a Chuck E. Cheese visitor, watched the video and expressed his disbelief. “I’m not going to stick my hand in that hole,” he said, noting the game was out of order as technicians worked on repairs.

Chuck E. Cheese did not provide a comment for this story, but reportedly assured that the game’s design prevents children’s arms from reaching into the area where the woman got stuck. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the family continued their visit.

Coastal Amusements, the New Jersey-based manufacturer of Snow Day, expressed relief that no one was hurt. Company president Michael Dean noted, “We’ve never seen something like this happen before,” despite hundreds of these games being in use nationwide.

As the video continues to gain traction online, the young woman might find solace in the fact that her face was not visible in the footage. The Burbank Fire Department declined to discuss the incident.
