Woman repeatedly stabbed while sitting at slot machine in Vegas casino

LAS VEGAS, NV – A bewildering incident took place at Las Vegas’s Aztec Inn casino on July 8 when a woman was repeatedly stabbed while at a slot machine. The weapon used in the assault was later discovered in the casino’s lost and found, according to the investigators.

The assailant, identified as 38-year-old Elonda Alexander, was apprehended soon after the episode. Law enforcement confirmed that Alexander confessed to the stabbing while under arrest. The victim, acquainted with Alexander, was reportedly stabbed in the back multiple times while seated at a slot machine but managed to survive the attack with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to documents, the victim stated that prior to the casino trip, Alexander allegedly became agitated after they spent the day together smoking meth. Once at the casino, Alexander stabbed the victim, allegedly uttering harsh words hoping for the victim’s death.

The entire incident, from the stabbing to Alexander discarding the knife and exiting the premises, was caught on the casino’s surveillance cameras. An oblivious employee later found the knife and deposited it into the lost and found, where a crime scene detective subsequently retrieved it.

Currently, Alexander remains in police custody on a bail of $20,000. She is facing charges of battery with the use of a deadly weapon and another weapon-related charge. Attempts to reach a representative from Aztec Inn for further inputs have been unsuccessful so far.
