Attorney’s office worker discovered dead inside courthouse

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – Following a tragic discovery at the Broward County Courthouse on SE 6th Street, the Broward Sheriff’s Office has launched an investigation. Daniel Miranda, 55, was found dead on the premises on Wednesday evening. The deceased man was known as a multimedia specialist in the Broward State Attorney’s Office.

After receiving the call regarding a dead person at the courthouse, Broward State Attorney Harold Pryor confirmed the news in an email to fellow staff members. Miranda was a key part of the Digital Evidence Unit and was admired amongst his peers, Pryor mentioned.

An official statement by Pryor portrayed Miranda as a hard-working, helpful team member. The state attorney also remembered Miranda as the office DJ. The unexpected discovery has left everyone grieving and in shock over his sudden death. The organization deeply feels the loss, both within the office and in the community at large.

Broward Sheriff’s Office is currently awaiting the results of the autopsy to identify the cause of death of the office worker. As of now, foul play is not speculated as a contributing factor.

In a heartfelt message, Pryor expressed the office’s condolences to Miranda’s wife, family, friends, and close colleagues. He assured them that they are not alone in their grief, and the office is standing by their side during this sorrowful time.
