Father Suspected of Shooting His Family to Death in Brutal Murder-Suicide

Tragedy struck a Houston family on Tuesday when a mother, father, and their teenage son were found dead in their Meyerland home.

Police believe the incident was likely a murder-suicide.

The mother reportedly called 911 in a frantic state, pleading for help, but gunshots were heard during the call.

When officers arrived at the house, they found the door locked and had to kick it in. Lt. R. Willkens said that officers were concerned for the safety of everyone involved and had to act quickly to gain entry to the home.

Inside, they found the bodies of all three family members.

The father is believed to have been the shooter, according to investigators. The victims have not yet been publically identified, but the mother and father were thought to be in their 60s, while their son was in his late teens.

The motive behind the deadly shooting is not yet known, and investigators are still trying to piece together what happened inside the home.
