On Friday night, a double shooting involving two friends led to the discovery and seizure of numerous weapons and a large stash of drugs in a Dunwoody apartment complex. The incident took place at an apartment complex.
Upon arrival, officers found one man with three gunshot wounds to the chest and another man shot in the ankle. Investigators determined that the two men, who were friends, had engaged in a shootout with each other.
One of the men had driven to the apartment complex to meet the other, and the situation escalated when he pulled out a gun upon arrival.
The exchange of gunfire began inside the apartment complex and continued into the breezeway outside. After securing a search warrant for the apartment unit, police found and seized a significant amount of drugs, cash, and multiple weapons.
Both men were transported to the hospital to receive treatment for their injuries. The pending charges against the suspects and their identities have not been released at this time.
