Georgia man kills mom, grandma, and workplace manager before turning the gun on himself

A 26-year-old man from Georgia killed his workplace manager, mother, and grandmother. Then, he used the same gun to take his own life.

One of the shootings took place during the early hours of Thursday morning. Security footage from a small-town McDonald’s location in southern Georgia captured the incident. The footage shows Kentavious White killing the store manager, 41-year-old Amia Smith.

White lured Smith to the door before opening fire, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. The video then depicted White entering the restaurant and shooting himself.

Upon discovering the scene at McDonald’s, police also found White’s mother, Susie Arnold, and grandmother, Hilda Marshall, dead in their adjoining homes only two miles away. Both women had been shot multiple times, with Marshall found deceased on the scene and Arnold passing away later at a hospital.

Moultrie Police investigator Nathan Cato disclosed that White had also been engaged in a gunfight at his shared home with Arnold on Tuesday. White, who was on his lunch break, exchanged gunfire with another man but neither of them was injured. Moultrie Police Chief Sean Ladson noted that the department had no previous interactions with White.

Authorities identified 30-year-old Rahiem Rashad Kinsey, a former McDonald’s employee, as the man who had shot at White. As a result, he has been with aggravated assault and firearm possession while committing a crime. He remained in jail on Friday in Moultrie, with no information available about legal representation.

Felicia McGough, a cousin of the late Amia Smith, expressed her disbelief and grief over the senseless killing. Both Arnold and Marshall had been employed at a local assisted living facility.

On Friday, the McDonald’s reopened its doors with purple ribbons tied to the entrance and employees donning purple attire in remembrance of Smith.
