Gunman kills 2 women in convenience store shooting

LAS VEGAS, NV – A masked gunman opened fire inside a Las Vegas convenience store early Monday, killing two women and critically wounding a man. The suspect was described only as a Black man in dark clothing. He remains at large after fleeing the scene of the deadly attack on a bicycle.

The shooting erupted in the East Valley neighborhood around 3:25 a.m., triggering a barrage of 911 calls from terrified witnesses. Security footage depicts the brazen attack – the suspect approaching on a bicycle, firing indiscriminately through the store’s open door, then disappearing into the night.

Responding officers discovered two female victims within the store. A third victim, also a woman, was found in the parking lot and declared dead at the scene.

One of the women found inside later succumbed to her injuries at a local hospital. The male victim is still being hospitalized and is currently in stable condition.

Lt. Jason Johansson, who works for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, believes the attack was targeted. Investigators are urgently exploring the possibility that one of the victims knew the assailant. He emphasized the imminent threat posed by the armed suspect and stressed the importance of anyone with information coming forward.
