Illegal immigrant charged in sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl and other crimes

GREENACRES, FL – A series of alarming incidents involving an undocumented immigrant have shaken the Greenacres community. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office has apprehended Santos Martinez Foralla, who is accused of targeting women in a string of violent crimes, including the alleged rape of a teenager at a local park.

Foralla, who made his initial court appearance on Sunday, faces charges related to a sexual assault on a 13-year-old girl. The incident reportedly occurred at Freedom Park, where Foralla allegedly tried to restrain the young girl on a bike trail. While in custody, Foralla was also linked to an attempted robbery and assault of a 29-year-old woman. She alleges that Foralla threatened her with a gun, forced her into his car, and attempted to restrain her before she managed to escape.

The violence reportedly unfolded less than a ten-minute drive from Freedom Park, on Prescott Boulevard. Authorities are relieved that the victims escaped unharmed, but the incidents highlight a growing concern about public safety in the area. In a third reported case, a 16-year-old girl stated she was followed for approximately 15 minutes while walking near Forest Hill Boulevard. Deputies intercepted the vehicle and arrested Foralla for driving without a license.

In under two weeks, three women have reported being targeted by Foralla. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Foralla entered the United States illegally from Honduras in 2023. The incidents have sparked discussions on immigration policies and public safety, with some community members expressing hope that upcoming policy changes will address these issues.

Foralla remains in custody without bond, and authorities suspect there may be additional victims. They are urging anyone who has had interactions with Foralla to come forward. The community remains on edge as the investigation continues, hoping for swift justice and increased safety measures.
