A Texas man lost his life after being shot several times during an argument at an apartment complex near San Pedro. The altercation involved his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend, according to police reports.
Late at night, around 10 p.m., police were called to the scene. They were responding to the reports of a 21-year-old man who had been shot multiple times.
The young man was rushed to the hospital by a group of individuals following a heated dispute at a nearby apartment complex.
According to police reports, the shooting happened when a man passed by a gathering of people at the apartment complex. He was confronted by a woman who was part of the group. She was his ex-girlfriend, and she approached him about certain rumors he had allegedly been spreading about her.
After the initial confrontation, the man left the scene. However, he returned shortly after, leading to a further argument with the woman’s current boyfriend. Amidst the ensuing scuffle, shots rang out, and the woman’s current boyfriend was hit several times.
Four individuals at the scene assisted the wounded man into a car and promptly drove him to the nearby hospital. He was transferred to the nearest trauma center where he was later declared dead.
The four individuals who transported the victim to the hospital were later taken to police headquarters for further questioning.
While police have identified the suspect, he has not yet been apprehended. The whereabouts of the victim’s girlfriend are also currently unknown.
Fortunately, there were no other injuries reported from the incident.
