FRISCO, TX – A manhunt is currently underway in Frisco after a fatal shooting occurred in a Walmart parking lot on Wednesday night. The local police described the incident as a random act of violence. The suspect is still at large and authorities are reaching out to the public for assistance in the ongoing investigation.
At approximately 9:34 p.m., the Frisco Police Department responded to several emergency calls reporting gunfire at the Walmart on the corner of Preston Road and Hickory Street. On arrival, officers discovered two victims, both suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Both individuals were rushed to local hospitals. While one victim is described as stable, the other succumbed to their injuries. The identities of the victims are being withheld at this time.
Law enforcement officers did an extensive search of the area. Initially, they believed the incident to be isolated. Following an investigation, the police revised their understanding of the circumstances, concluding that the shooting was unprovoked and random.
