TAMPA, FL – Investigators in Tampa are working relentlessly to solve the mystery behind a daylight shooting that led to the death of a man on Monday at a busy local intersection. The incident created a wave of fear and shock among the local community. Employees from a nearby establishment described the initial moments, saying that once gunfire was identified, they were cautious not to rush outside.
The sudden violence disrupted an otherwise normal day in New Tampa. Several residents came to the site to offer support and aid. A witness described the scene: “They were attempting to do CPR, but everybody came from everywhere… you could tell people were concerned.”
The site of the killing was roped off with crime scene tape, where investigators discovered a white Mercedes marked as evidence near the intersection of Regents Park Drive and Bruce B. Downs Boulevard.
The victim has been identified by family members and friends as Kyle Prisco. According to reports from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, deputies found Prisco on the road, deceased.
The timing and location of the killing have unsettled the usually peaceful New Tampa community. The sheriff’s office is encouraging anyone with information about the incident to contact them, emphasizing that no tip is too small.
