BEAVERTON, OR – The police, on Saturday, announced the tragic discovery of Melissa Jubane’s body in Beaverton, Oregon. The 32-year-old nurse, previously reported missing after she failed to show up for her shift at St. Vincent Hospital, seems to have been a murder victim. Bryce Johnathan Schubert, her 27-year-old neighbor, has been arrested and charged with her murder.
Beaverton Police Department responded to Jubane’s residence at 1050 SW 160th Avenue for a welfare check after her uncharacteristic absence from work. Attempts by officers and family members to contact Jubane were unsuccessful, and neither her bank nor credit card records provided any clue about her whereabouts, increasing concerns for her safety.
Following investigative efforts, Jubane’s neighbor, Schubert, emerged as a suspect in the case. He has since been arrested and charged with second-degree murder and is currently detained at the Washington County jail. It remains unclear if Schubert has a legal representative.
While the body of the missing nurse has been found, details concerning Schubert’s alleged involvement, the location of Jubane’s remains, and the circumstances leading to her demise have not been disclosed.
Local police have appealed to the public for any information relating to Jubane’s death, urging them to get in touch with their department to assist in the case.
