SPRING, TX – A shooting classified as an attempted murder-suicide by the local authorities has left a 10-year-old girl battling for her life. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office reported the horrific incident, which took place on May 30, in an apartment complex in Spring, Texas, at around 5 p.m.
Three individuals were involved in the incident- a 39-year-old male, a 33-year-old female, and the young 10-year-old girl. While their identities have not been released, it has been revealed that the girl is the daughter of the woman, and the man was her boyfriend.
The girl was seriously wounded after being shot in the abdomen in the crossfire, and the strength and bravery she showed are astounding. Despite her severe injury, she mustered the courage to phone her grandmother for aid, who then reported the incident to the police.
Once the police arrived, they found the man and woman both unconscious with gunshot injuries. The man was already deceased. Despite receiving medical assistance on the spot, the woman tragically succumbed to her injuries. The girl was airlifted to the closest hospital in critical condition to immediately undergo surgery.
Early investigations suggest that the incident resulted from a dispute between the man and woman, the man being identified as the main suspect. Numerous questions remain, and further investigations will delve into their shared living situation and explore the possibility of past incidents.
