One killed, six injured in shootout over car dispute

ORLANDO, FL – A disagreement over a vehicle’s return date led to a deadly exchange of gunfire. The shooting broke out in a neighborhood located in Orlando, Florida, ultimately resulting in the death of one individual and gunshot injuries to six others. The Orlando Police confirmed these details about the shootout that took place.

The deceased individual from the shootout has been identified as 21-year-old James Jerry Dawn William III. All six individuals who were injured in the confrontation were transported to a hospital. They are now stable and expected to make a full recovery despite their injuries from the gunfire.

The altercation began around 3 p.m. on the day of the shooting when the Orlando Police received a call regarding an alleged assault involving weapons. The disagreement reportedly stemmed from the failure to return a vehicle by a deadline that was agreed upon, escalating into a violent altercation involving weapons.

Upon the officers’ arrival, it was reported that one of the individuals involved in the incident was interested in seeking prosecution for the alleged assault.

The police were not able to locate the suspect at the time of the incident, and they are still on the lookout for the shooter.
