TORRANCE, CA – A horrifying incident in Torrance has left a one-month-old baby dead following an attack by a dog, local police have reported.
The Torrance Police Department responded to an emergency call regarding an animal bite on the 2700 block of Martha Avenue at 12:34 p.m. on Tuesday. The infant was quickly transported to the hospital for treatment. However, upon arrival, authorities informed the distraught parents that their child had succumbed to the injuries.
After the incident, detectives conducted a thorough investigation at the hospital. Several dogs, including the one involved in the attack, were removed from the household by Torrance’s Animal Control for further assessment.
