Road rage shooting in Texas kills father of 3

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is currently searching for a suspect responsible for the untimely death of a father of three. Authorities have determined that this Texan father died in what appears to be a road rage incident.

The incident happened on Friday at around 12:30 am in the parking lot of a Home Depot located in Spring, Texas. Upon arriving, officers found the motorcyclist suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper torso. Unfortunately, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

KTRK-TV has disclosed the identity of the victim as Jesse Metzger, a father of three children and expecting a fourth. His mother, Heidi Myers Fiedler, confirmed his death in a Facebook post on Friday.

In her post, the grieving mother shared, “It is with a heavy heart that I share the news that today my son, Jesse Metzger, was murdered in an apparent road rage incident in Spring, Texas.”

Mrs. Fiedler reminisced fondly of her late son, characterizing him as “tall and handsome” with an amusing laugh and a variety of creative talents.

Officials reported that Metzger had just finished eating at a nearby eatery with his buddies prior to the shooting. Following his departure on his motorcycle, Metzger contacted his friends to tell them he was being trailed by a white Jeep, and that he had been shot. After he shared this information, the call became disconnected.

Metzger was located by his friends in the parking lot of a Home Depot, prompting them to call 911 for help. No one has been taken into custody yet for shooting the motorcyclist.
