Rollover accident leaves teen boy dead, three more teens injured

A fatal rollover accident occurred in Glendale, Arizona, on Thursday. The incident caused the death of one teenage boy and critical injuries to three other teenagers.

The accident transpired shortly after 7 p.m. when a speeding Infiniti sedan, driving along Grand Avenue, lost control. The accident was precipitated by another car executing a left turn in front of the Infiniti near 53rd Avenue, as per the police report.

In an attempt to evade the turning vehicle, the Infiniti swerved, hitting a curb and causing the car to roll over.

The vehicle was occupied by four teenagers, three of whom were thrown out during the rollover. The driver, a 17-year-old boy, and two 16-year-old girls were rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A 15-year-old boy, another passenger in the car, tragically lost his life at the crash scene due to his severe injuries.

The police have confirmed that the teenagers did not have seatbelts on, which significantly increased their risk of injury.

Preliminary findings from the investigation suggest that impairment was not a factor in this tragic event. The teenagers involved in the accident were all identified as residents of Glendale.

The scene was cordoned off for the entirety of the night to allow for an exhaustive investigation. Normal traffic has since resumed in the area.
