Shopping center shooting leaves 2 dead, 1 injured in Texas

A shooting incident at a shopping center in Austin, Texas, has left one person dead and another critically injured. The Austin Police Department responded to reports of multiple shots fired in and around the Arboretum area of the shopping center. The first units arrived on the scene within minutes, and the counter-strike team was deployed due to initial reports of an explosion. However, no explosive devices were found.

The initial call reporting the shooting was received at approximately 5:01 p.m. local time. Henderson stated that the first units arrived at 5:07 p.m. and found two individuals who had been shot. Sadly, one person succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The shooter was also among the deceased, but the cause of their death has not been disclosed.
