Teacher killed by her mentally ill son

Tragically, a teacher from Cedar Heights Middle School in the Kent School District passed away earlier this month. She was allegedly stabbed by her son in her Tacoma home. It is believed that the perpetrator was in the midst of a mental health episode.

Court documents reveal that 66-year-old Gail Gese contacted 911 before her death and indicated that her son was in the middle of a mental health crisis.

Court documents indicate that Michael, the adult son of the individual, was dealing with an undiagnosed case of schizophrenia.

Residents of the neighborhood informed FOX 13 that Gese was occupied with teaching and providing care for her husband, who had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.

Residents of the 800 block of South Anderson Street in Tacoma, which is located close to the Gese home, report that Michael Gese frequently walked up and down the street. He could usually be seen in the alley behind his mother’s abode, and seemed to be conversing with himself.

After being apprehended, Michael informed the police that he had attempted to “pop the robot’s head off” in an effort to be released from his “work.”

He was uncertain of the exact circumstances, yet confessed to the police that he had attacked his mom by stabbing her in the neck with a kitchen knife. The entire incident was captured on camera while his mother was talking to the 911 operator.
