Teen girl gets shot during fight at the mall

LYNNWOOD, WA – A shooting at Alderwood Mall left a teenage girl injured on Wednesday evening. The altercation between two groups of individuals led to the mishap at around 6:04 p.m. Lynnwood Police reported that a male from one of the groups fired his gun at the opposing group, striking an unassociated teenage girl who was present at the scene.

Not long after the incident, the police requested any witnesses who observed the altercation near the food court to relay their information. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital, but her condition remains uncertain.

James Jacobo, a retail employee at Alderwood Mall, described the terror of being in the vicinity of the gunfire. He stated that he and his colleagues noticed two men pulling out a weapon and discharging it, inciting chaos and fear among customers.

The police have identified a male suspect donning a white sweatshirt whom they believe to be the gunman. He is deemed armed, and anyone recognizing him or possessing knowledge about the incident is requested to contact Lynnwood Police or the 911 service.

A brief lockdown ensued at Alderwood Mall, but it was subsequently lifted. The case continues to evolve, with no arrests being reported by the police so far.
