Woman begs for help after escaping machete-wielding kidnapper

PORTLAND, OR – A woman escaped her alleged abductor by leaping from a moving car in a bone-chilling incident captured by security cameras in Portland, Oregon. The video footage shows the 47-year-old unidentified woman pleading for help on a stranger’s doorstep at around 1:30 a.m. on Friday. She had managed to escape from the vehicle of her alleged attacker, who reportedly wielded a machete.

According to the Portland Police Bureau reports, the incident commenced when Ra Fet, 25, offered a ride to the woman, who was walking home. On entering Fe’s car, the woman was subject to sexually inappropriate comments and physical advances. As per police reports, Fe produced a machete in a restaurant parking lot, frightening the woman.

Fe allegedly prevented her from leaving the car by accelerating its speed when she tried to escape. She tried to fight him while he was driving, and she was reportedly punched by him. As the car slowed, the victim jumped out, not before being hit in the nose by Fet.

The woman immediately took refuge in the driveway of a nearby house, knocking on the door for assistance. Seeing this, Fet drove away from the scene. Close on the heels of the incident, law enforcement officers located Fet’s car and pulled him over. At that location, the victim identified Fet as the man who assaulted her and attempted to abduct her. Consequently, Fet was arrested and taken to Multnomah County Detention Center.

The woman sustained cuts and bruises, which have been medically treated. Fet, a native of Thailand with a past record of criminal activity, appeared in court on Monday, facing multiple charges. Despite pleading not guilty to all charges, he is being held at the Multnomah County Detention Center without bond.
