Woman disappears at LAX

LOS ANGELES, CA – The family of Hannah Kobayashi, a 30-year-old resident of Haiku, is desperately seeking help in finding her after she vanished during a layover at Los Angeles International Airport. As days stretch into a week, Kobayashi’s loved ones are growing increasingly concerned, urging anyone with information to come forward.

Kobayashi was last seen at LAX on a Friday as she prepared for a flight to New York. Her journey was a blend of personal and professional commitments, including attending a concert, a photography assignment, and visiting her aunt, Larie Pigeon. A friend traveling on the same flights last saw her at LAX, but Kobayashi never boarded her flight to New York, one of the last of the night.

Communication with Kobayashi became sporadic and concerning. Text messages to her aunt on Sunday hinted at a “very intense spiritual awakening” and contained apologies for what she described as “craziness.” In a message to her roommate, she expressed fear, mentioning that someone might be attempting to steal her money and identity.

Since then, Kobayashi’s family has been unable to reach her. Her phone, once traceable to LAX, now goes directly to voicemail. This abrupt silence has prompted her family to file reports with multiple law enforcement agencies, including the LAPD, LAX police, and the FBI.

“This is so unlike Hannah,” Pigeon shared, emphasizing her niece’s responsibility and excitement about her trip. Kobayashi had meticulously planned her visit, securing a hotel and event tickets, underscoring her eagerness for the journey.

The family remains steadfast in their search. “We will not stop until we find you,” Pigeon declared, conveying the immense love and support from friends and family awaiting Kobayashi’s safe return.

Described as 5’10”, 140 pounds, with brown hair, brown eyes, and fair skin with freckles, Kobayashi’s family pleads for anyone with information to contact them at 845-750-36 or reach out to Los Angeles authorities.

As the search continues, the family hopes for any lead that might bring Hannah back home safely. They remain hopeful, united in their determination to unravel the mystery of her disappearance.
