HOUSTON, TX – A domestic dispute turned deadly on Thursday night in Northeast Houston, as a 26-year-old mother was brutally shot and killed. The incident unfolded in a residence on Locksley Road, situated near the intersection of Wayside Drive and Tidwell Road. Reportedly, the lady and her new partner were hosting a birthday party for one of her children, aged 4 and 6 years, at the time of the tragic incident.
According to authorities, around 8:30 p.m., the biological father of the children arrived at the house, which led to a confrontation at the front door. Witnesses say that amid the heated argument, shots were fired, and the woman fell victim to the gunfire, dying at the scene.
Felicia Adams, a neighbor living adjacent to the house, recalled the tense moments leading up to the fatal shooting. She shared that upon the arrival of the father, she heard him shout, “‘Let’s end this. Let’s end this now.’” Just moments after witnessing two cars pull into the driveway, she heard the deafening sound of gunfire.
Past records showcase that Houston police had previously responded to child custody-related disputes at this location. However, the exact reason behind the dispute on that fateful night remains unclear.
The suspect reportedly fled the crime scene in a white Tahoe. Police are now urging the shooter to come forward and provide his version of the story.
