Elementary school teacher killed by her own son

POLK COUNTY, FL – In a shocking incident, a pre-med student from the University of Florida is accused of killing his mother, a reputed elementary school teacher. He claims that he killed her because she was “getting on his nerves.”

Emmanuel Espinoza, 21, reportedly wanted to spend the weekend with his mother, Elvia Espinoza, at her residence, located about two hours south of Orlando. On Saturday, when Elvia, a second-grade teacher, opened her door for Emmanuel around 2 p.m. He reportedly attacked her with a knife despite the fact that he initially acted as a welcome visitor.

According to Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd, the student chased and fatally stabbed his mother while she was on a call with a family member. Post the brutal assault, Emmanuel called 911 himself and confessed to his crime.

In his interaction with the authorities, Emmanuel ironically claimed to have loved his mother, Elvia, while also admitting that she agitated him. Consequently, he now faces charges of first-degree murder and has been sent to Polk County Jail.
