Father killed in front of his family during early morning home invasion

HOUSTON, TX – In a tragic incident that unfolded around 3 a.m., a man lost his life during a home invasion in a residence located on the 5300 block of Castlecreek Lane in Houston, according to police officials. The victim’s wife and two children were present in the house during the event, but thankfully they remained unharmed.

After spending the evening in his backyard, the victim had just walked into the house when the intruders barged in. Around 2:30 a.m., an unidentified number of suspects invaded the house, which subsequently created a loud noise.

The victim quickly asked his wife to hide in their bedroom after hearing the commotion. However, braving the imminent threat, the man stood up to the perpetrators. This led to the man ultimately getting shot in the house’s hallway.

The incident was witnessed by the victim’s two young children, a 6-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl, who were unharmed, as confirmed by the victim’s stepdaughter. She also emphasized that her stepfather was a non-violent individual who never got involved in disputes or conflicts.

The victim’s identity is currently withheld as per the family’s request. As of now, the Houston Police Department has not provided any information about potential suspects involved in the case.
