(ConservativeStar.com) – As COVID-19 continues to spread, Americans are hoping for a vaccine sooner than later — and it just may happen. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Commissioner Stephen Hahn indicated on Sunday, August 30, there could be an emergency approval before human trials end. It would be an unprecedented breakthrough and speed.

Hahn didn’t say a speedy vaccine approval was certain. Any decision would be based on science, medicine, and data. It would also have to come from the developer whose judgment may or may not be appropriate. If released early, the inoculation likely won’t be available to everyone. It may only go to those in high-risk groups.
For weeks, President Trump has said companies developing a vaccine are getting close to a product that’s safe for the public. China and Russia claim they already created one and have begun administering it to their citizens. However, neither country concluded any trials, drawing harsh worldwide criticism from public health professionals.
