Man shot by his girlfriend’s ex in violent domestic dispute

DALLAS, TX – An incident involving a domestic dispute escalated into a shooting, leaving two men injured in Dallas late Wednesday night. The details of this violent incident were confirmed by Dallas Police Department reports. The altercation, which broke out at a residence on the 3800 block of Bonnie View Road around 10 p.m., reportedly began with domestic assault.

Authorities reported that they found two men at the location, both with gunshot wounds. The injured men were rushed to a hospital for immediate medical attention, however, their condition remains unclear as of Thursday morning.

Based on a preliminary investigation, a woman reported that her boyfriend attempted to strangle her, prompting her to text her ex-boyfriend for help. Upon his arrival at the location, a confrontation ensued between the two men, during which the ex-boyfriend allegedly shot the current boyfriend. The boyfriend’s uncle, who was also present at the house during the incident, was shot as well.

Following the shooting, the current boyfriend escaped to a nearby fire station seeking assistance for a gunshot wound on his ankle. The uncle, also sustaining a gunshot injury, was transported to the hospital and subsequently underwent surgery.

As for the ex-boyfriend, who is suspected of the shooting, police have yet to make an arrest. Additional details about the case are currently unavailable.
