(ConservativeStar.com) – Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) — AOC — recently claimed she has been in therapy since the Capitol Hill riots of January 6, saying “the insurrection was deeply traumatizing [and that she] effectively served in war.” That statement seems a bit exaggerated considering she never faced anything remotely war-like.
While there’s no denying that what she DID experience would frighten most people, it still appears she’s using her situation to good effect and taking a subtle jab at her “colleagues” on the Hill. In a tweet about mental health care she wrote “if I could prescribe it to other members, I would [winking face].”
Mental healthcare is healthcare. It should be guaranteed as a right along with dental and vision.

She has a history of using this tactic. In 2019, she compared the GOP to the sometimes scatterbrained TV character Dwight Schrute from The Office. Then on March 11, she couldn’t help herself from saying they “took a week to read The Cat in the Hat.” Was she explicit in her intent when she seemed to imply people she works with are mentally ill? No. Does her history show that it’s quite probable? Oh yes!
