Ohio newlywed’s honeymoon ends in deadly freak accident

COLUMBUS, OH – A newlywed couple from Ohio is dealing with an unimaginable tragedy after the husband lost his life in a waterskiing accident during their honeymoon. Nate Kuhlman and his wife Marian had just exchanged vows on October 28 and were enjoying their honeymoon on a Caribbean island when the accident occurred.

The specifics of Nate’s tragic death are still unclear, but it is known that a waterskiing accident was the cause. A fundraiser was initiated in the wake of his death, where Nate was remembered as a ‘wonderful husband, friend, son, and brother in Christ.’

The fundraiser also highlighted Nate’s ability to form meaningful connections with everyone he met. Those who knew him could share countless stories that demonstrated his fun, kindness, and adventurous spirit.

Nate’s sudden passing, just three days after his wedding, has left his loved ones devastated. Two fundraisers have been established to assist the family, collectively raising over $100,000 to date.

Nate’s mother, Heather Kuhlman, shared her grief and shock over her son’s sudden passing in a poignant Facebook post. She revealed that she was en route to St. Lucia after learning that her son was ‘in the arms of Jesus.’ Despite the immense pain, she expressed reliance on God’s grace and asked for prayers as they prepared to bring Nate home.

Tributes have been flooding in for Nate, with one wedding guest describing the event as ‘beautiful.’ Nate was also remembered as a cherished friend who was due to be a groomsman at another friend’s wedding the following week. His untimely death has deeply impacted his community, and prayers have been requested for his soul and for those grieving his loss, especially his wife and family.
