Police Seize 480 Pounds of Meth and Cocaine at Texas Border (REPORT)

(ConservativeStar.com) – Officers with the US Customs and Border Protection Agency (CBP) recently intercepted two shipments of illegal drugs coming from Mexico, according to reports. Human and K-9 teams along with “non-intrusive imaging systems” prevented a combined 480 pounds of methamphetamine and cocaine from making their way to the streets of America.

On November 23, a truck crossing the World Trade Bridge in Laredo, Texas, purporting to carry mechanical equipment, was pulled over for heightened inspection. Well-trained dog noses found approximately $4.5 million of crystal meth. On November 25, at the same location they seized a flatbed trailer with roughly $2 million worth of cocaine.

Some theorize the Mexican cartels are looking to take advantage of the isolation and the associated mental issues impacting so many because of the COVID-19 pandemic. With no idea when things might return to some semblance of normalcy, America is lucky to have these frontline workers trying to stem the flow of these poisons.
