Road rage confrontation leaves 2 people dead

LOS ANGELES, CA – In a disturbing series of events Tuesday, two people were left dead following what investigators suspect may have been a violence rooted in a road rage incident. The shootings occurred at locations roughly two miles apart, sending shockwaves through the Mid-Wilshire and Koreatown neighborhoods.

Los Angeles police first received calls about a shooting at 4:22 p.m. on South Victoria Avenue, where they discovered a man, presumed to be in his early 40s, who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. The man, as yet unnamed, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

According to an LAPD news release, the suspect allegedly intentionally hit the victim with a vehicle before opening fire. The assailant’s vehicle, described as a four-door sedan, was seen fleeing southbound on Victoria Avenue, suggesting this attack was deliberate.

Later on the same day, a 50-year-old man, who is believed to be the shooter, walked into a police station and informed officers about a woman who was dead in a car located in Koreatown. Responding officers uncovered the woman’s body inside a vehicle parked outside a residential complex.

While the identities of the deceased and the specific details surrounding the road rage incident remain unclear, authorities continue to investigate the sequence of events leading to these tragic outcomes.

The 50-year-old suspect has been taken into custody on murder allegations and is being held on a $3 million bail.

Investigators are urging anyone with information related to these incidents to reach out to the LAPD’s West Bureau.
