The partial upper jaw was found at Warnimont Park in Cudahy and identified through dental records more than two years after Robinson’s death.
CUDAHY, WI — A pedestrian walking along the Lake Michigan shoreline found part of Sade Robinson’s upper jaw on rocks at Warnimont Park, authorities and her family said, marking the latest recovery of remains belonging to the 19-year-old Milwaukee woman killed in 2024.
The remains were found Friday, Oct. 30, near the shoreline in Cudahy, south of Milwaukee. The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that a partial human maxilla, the bone forming the upper jaw, belonged to Robinson. Her family said teeth were also found with the bone and that dental records were used to confirm her identity.
Robinson’s mother, Sheena Scarbrough, and attorney Verona Swanigan publicly announced the discovery Nov. 5. They said a person walking near the lake spotted the remains on a rock and alerted law enforcement. The discovery comes more than two years after Robinson was killed and dismembered following a first date in Milwaukee.
Robinson was last seen alive April 1, 2024, after meeting Maxwell Anderson. Investigators said the two visited Milwaukee businesses before going to Anderson’s home. Robinson was reported missing the next day. Her burned Honda Civic was found soon afterward, and investigators began recovering human remains at locations around Milwaukee County.
A leg was found at Warnimont Park on April 2, 2024, beginning a wide search along the Lake Michigan shoreline and elsewhere in the Milwaukee area. Later that month, a torso and arm were found on a beach in South Milwaukee. An additional arm discovered on a Waukegan, Illinois, beach in May 2024 was later confirmed through DNA testing to belong to Robinson.
The latest discovery is significant because Robinson’s family has long said portions of her remains were still missing. Scarbrough said the family continues to hope more can be recovered. She has asked people who regularly walk or run along Lake Michigan between Cudahy and Waukegan to remain alert for anything unusual and notify authorities rather than disturb possible remains.
The family believes changing shoreline conditions and strong waves may have contributed to the latest remains reaching the beach. Scarbrough said she has considered organizing additional community searches near the lake. A search was expected around the area where the jaw was recovered, weather permitting.
Anderson was convicted June 6, 2025, of first-degree intentional homicide, mutilating a corpse, hiding a corpse and arson. Prosecutors presented evidence during his trial that connected him to Robinson on the night she disappeared and to the aftermath of her killing. A Milwaukee County jury found him guilty on all four counts.
On Aug. 1, 2025, Judge Laura Crivello sentenced Anderson to life in prison without eligibility for extended supervision. Anderson maintained his innocence during the case and said he planned to appeal. Robinson’s relatives repeatedly asked for information that could help them recover the rest of her remains.
The discovery at Warnimont Park adds another confirmed piece to a search that has stretched from Milwaukee County into northern Illinois. Authorities have not announced that all of Robinson’s remains have been recovered, and her family says its effort to bring the remaining remains home will continue.
