PLANTATION, FL – A targeted shooting outside a Best Buy store in Plantation, Florida, resulted in one fatality and four injuries. Broward County police are currently investigating the matter.
The shooting occurred shortly after 8 p.m. on Saturday, triggering a substantial police response to the store located at the intersection of Sunrise Boulevard and Flamingo Road. Bullet holes were detected in a vehicle parked outside the store, along with a damaged store window.
According to witnesses, a group of four individuals was leaving the Best Buy location when they were assailed by a second group in the parking lot. The confrontation escalated to gunfire, leading to two members of the first group being wounded. Additionally, two uninvolved bystanders received gunshot injuries but were later listed as stable following treatment at a local hospital.
One of the victims, reported to be a 17-year-old boy, was critically injured after the incident. The victim later died at the hospital. Authorities have not divulged any details about the deceased individual.
The motive behind the attack remains unclear, and the targeted victims have not provided any information to assist investigators.
