Tragic news out of Massachusetts as a 12-year-old boy and his mother have been killed in a suspected murder-suicide. According to authorities, the father is believed to have been responsible for the deaths.
Authorities have concluded that Andrew Robinson, age 56, was responsible for the death of his 55-year-old wife, Linda, and his son, 12-year-old Sebastian. The suspected murder took place in the family’s house in Andover.
Andover Police Chief Patrick Keefe further concluded that Andrew Robinson had taken his own life with the same gun.
At approximately 3:20 a.m. on Feb. 9, police discovered two bodies with gunshot wounds. In order to even enter the home, they had to forcibly break down two doors.
An anonymous caller had made a 911 call from inside the residence, yet the identity of the caller has not been disclosed.
The authorities referred to the event as a “tragic case of domestic violence,” and declared that there was no present danger to the general public.
As reported by Fox News, a 911 dispatcher informed responding officers that someone in the background could be heard saying “kill me now”.
Andrew Robinson had been employed at Channel Building Co. in Wilmington, Massachusetts until roughly 6 months ago, as reported by The Boston Globe. Linda Robinson’s father, Joseph Hachey, informed the newspaper that his daughter had been a successful accountant and model.
The young 12-year-old boy is remembered as a talented cellist at his school and a gifted creative. He was a sixt grade student at St. John’s Preparatory School.
The Essex County District Attorney’s Office, Massachusetts State Police, and the Andover Police Department are all conducting an investigation into the tragedy.
