The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) has issued a public appeal for assistance in tracking down a man implicated in a fatal shooting incident.
The call for help comes in response to a distress call the LVMPD received regarding a shooting at a residence on Leger Drive. The incident was reported around 10:54 a.m. on Saturday, April 22.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a woman grievously injured from an apparent gunshot wound. The woman was identified as Tabatha Tozzi, and she was rushed to UMC for medical attention. Despite efforts to save her life, Tozzi succumbed to her injuries on April 24.
As investigators delved into the circumstances of the shooting, they found that Tozzi had been engaged in a heated dispute with her boyfriend, 26-year-old Oswaldo Natanahel Perez-Sanchez. As the argument escalated, it is alleged that Perez-Sanchez brandished a firearm and shot Tozzi.
Before law enforcement could arrive on the scene, Perez-Sanchez had reportedly fled the area and his current location remains unknown.
Tozzi, who was the primary breadwinner for her family, was responsible for all their expenses, including those of her grandmother residing in Brazil. In the wake of this tragic loss, a fundraising account has been established to provide financial support for the bereaved family.
