Three men shot outside bar in early morning attack

NEW YORK CITY, NY – In an alarming incident in the early hours of Sunday morning, three men were shot outside a Harlem bar, authorities say. All victims were taken to local hospitals with bullet wounds to their legs but are expected to recover.

According to law enforcement, the men, aged 21, 39, and 46 respectively, were outside Just Lorraine’s Place 2 on Adam Clayton Powell Jr Boulevard around 4 a.m. when an unidentified man approached the group and opened fire. Described as wearing a red hat, dark pants, and dark jacket, the shooter managed to wound three men in the legs before fleeing the scene.

Two of the victims, both shot in the thigh, were transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem in stable condition. The third man, shot in the knee, collapsed near Lenox Avenue and West 135th Street and was later taken to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital. None of the wounds are thought to be life-threatening.

The investigation into the incident, in which no arrests have yet been made, is ongoing. The morning after the event witnessed a clean-up effort at the bar as workers swept up shards of glass from a broken door and tidied up damaged furniture inside.

Residents in the vicinity aren’t surprised at the violent episode at the bar. One neighbor living above the establishment mentioned that parties at Just Lorraine’s Place 2 were a frequent occurrence, often getting out of hand with patrons becoming heavily intoxicated and causing disruptive noises which include the sound of chair-tossing on this occasion.
