Trump Says Taiwan Will Be Invaded Next

( – The People’s Republic of China (PRC/aka Communist China) has always considered the island nation of Taiwan (Republic of China/ROC) as nothing more than a breakaway province. It regularly flies military aircraft into its air defenses zone, including nine planes on the day that Russia invaded Ukraine. China’s increased aggression, which has ramped up since President Joe Biden took office, prompted his predecessor, former President Donald Trump to predict that Beijing might will use the conflict in Ukraine as a distraction and launch an invasion of its own.

The former president appeared on “Mornings with Maria” on FOX Business news and spoke with namesake host Maria Bartiromo on the telephone. She asked his opinion on the possibility that Chinese President Xi Jinping would attack “sooner rather than later.” In his signature bare-knuckle brawler way, he replied in the affirmative, because they can’t help but see “how stupid the United States is run.”

Trump may not be alone in his opinion of China’s intentions toward Taiwan. President Biden did dispatch a group to the island nation — America does not have official diplomatic relations with Taiwan — which included the former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Mike Mullen. The retired admiral said he hopes their presence gives them the comfort of knowing that the United States is committed to keeping the country’s independence intact.
