Urgent Search for Missing 2-Year-Old Boy After Mother Found Dead in Florida Home

There has been an Amber Alert issued for a 2-year-old boy, Taylen Mosley, after his mother’s body was discovered in their St. Petersburg, Florida home. Authorities described the scene as a “very violent homicide” and expressed concern for the child’s safety.

Taylen was last seen near the 11600 block of 4th Street North in St. Petersburg on March 29. The body of his mother, 20-year-old Pashun Jeffery, was found in their apartment on Thursday afternoon when a family member requested the building manager to check on them.

St. Petersburg Police Chief Anthony Holloway announced that the search for the missing toddler is a collaborative effort involving state, federal, and county authorities. Drones and search dogs are being employed to locate the child as quickly as possible. Holloway emphasized the urgency of the situation, stating that the goal is to bring Taylen home safely.

Holloway confirmed that the boy isn’t currently with his father, and urged anyone holding the child to come forward.

Taylen is approximately 2 feet tall, weighs around 30 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes. Based on the apartment’s lease, police believe Jeffery and her son were the only occupants.

St. Petersburg is situated on Florida’s Gulf Coast and is part of the Tampa Bay area. Authorities have urged anyone with information about Taylen’s whereabouts to contact the St. Petersburg Police.
