Authorities in Fort Collins, Colorado, are conducting an investigation into a homicide after a man was discovered with multiple stab wounds on Friday night. Later on, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The Fort Collins Police Services stated that the stabbing incident occurred at approximately 10:09 p.m. The police received a report of a potential stabbing at the Loaf N Jug gas station and convenience store located at 318 N. College Ave. Responding officers found an adult male with multiple stab wounds at the intersection of College and Willow Street. The victim was immediately taken to a hospital, where he ultimately passed away.
The suspect was described as a male in his 40s or 50s with a darker complexion and a scruffy beard. He was last seen wearing jeans, a dark-colored shirt, and a black hat. Witnesses reported that he was riding a dark-colored bicycle heading east on Willow Street. Fort Collins Police Sergeant Randy Klamser, who oversees the Crimes Against Persons Unit, expressed determination in apprehending the suspect, stating that the detectives and forensic services would work tirelessly until the individual is brought to justice.
The investigation is still in its early stages, as mentioned in the news release. On the night of the incident, multiple police officers were present at the scene, and yellow police tape was used to cordon off the area. Northbound College Avenue and a portion of Willow Street were temporarily closed to facilitate the investigation.
